So i got through the first week. . . and i will say the first day i was thinking, what did i get myself into. I wasnt sure if i wanted to stay or not. But i am happy that i stayed. I have been having alot of fun here. The language is going eh alright i am probably being to hard on myself because some kids in the class learned some russian before they came in and i get frustrated that i keep forgetting words. but i am able to pray and share my testimony in russian. Even if it is about at the simplest form of prayer. One thing i cant deny here is the spirit though, i have never felt the spirit so strong and everyone is always so happy. One thing i dont really like here is the food. well the food itself isnt bad but it just kills my stomach. I get stomach pains everyday after we eat. I have a pretty sweet district, 3 of us elders are going to Moscow (MoskBa) the other elder is going to what they call the hawaii of russia called rostov. The sisters in our district are really cool as well. they say in here that usually nobody likes the sisters in their district but they really have helped us elders out. Tonight we are suppose to have an apostle come in and speak at our devotional, so we will see who comes. We have heard some pretty neat stories about apostles coming and stuff they have said and seen and what not. So funny story. . . our brance president, Brother Harrison, us elders think he hates us as a district in general and we dont know why. Like on sunday he came into our districts class and was asking these questions and everytime i gave an answer he would be like . . . ummm. . . yeah i dont want to comment on that, or like yeah thats not right. But when i talked to our district after he left i was like did i really not give a good answer or what, and they all said like no thats what i would have said and it was really good. Also i guess for zone meeting our district leader got chewed out for stuff that we shouldnt have and just went off on him. But we have to write him every week answering 5 questions like how was this week and what did you learn? how are you strengthening your companionship and stuff like that. So the sisters in our district wrote pretty much a novel, The elders wrote maybe a page, Me i didnt even answer each question with a full sentence, BUT i answered every question. We will see if i get yelled at for not putting enough information down. But i can always say that i did answer every question and got to the point. I will say that there was just no meat on the bones in that letter haha. in the room there are 3 other elders, 2 of these elders always have gas. . . No i am not one of those elders. Also the same 2 snore pretty loud at night. . . Good thing i have some sleeping pills for when it gets really bad haha i already had to use one of those pills. . . oh well. Well i hope everything is going great back at home everything is going great here. All though if anyone wants to send me some food or . . . Mountain Dew that would be great :)
